This will be the second time that Brazil will be hosting the world cup since the 1970’s. The draw for the area of the event was uncontested when the other country for candidacy withdrew its slot. Last December 2013, the finality of the games was decided upon the teams which were already divided by a FIFA committee. The estimated time allotment for the competition is from June 12, 2014 up to July 13, 2014.
Numerous awards are to be given to certain athletes and or team who have shown a great deal of value during the entire tournament. Brazil World Cup 2014 is expected to give a medal for The Golden Ball (best player), The Golden Boot (top goal scores), The Golden Glove Award (best goalkeeper), Best Young Player Award, FIFA Fair Play Trophy (team with best fair play), The Most Entertaining Team and lastly The All Start Team.
The long wait is over because last Thursday, June 12, 2014, Brazil World Cup started with a big splash! Brazil, the host and is known for its outstanding football players, harvested a gameplay of 3-1 against Croatia. The next game between Mexico and Cameroon are still ongoing with a close fight of goal after goal. International players will be fighting off each other defending their flags in the next days to come. The winners of the each bracket will again contend with one another until the world cup finals.
